I'll overwhelm 'legitimate fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming bout.

Ex two-time world boxing king Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I will damage his features and hurt his body. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will really want to injure him. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

Despite these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally known for his showmanship - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather criticized former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK opponent Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's biggest financial successes, consistently making substantial financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in round four or five and stated he would stop the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.

Size Difference

As the two fighters participated in the customary face-off, with their height and weight contrast on show, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is truly going ahead.
